UK-Nigeria Tech Hub, Briter Bridges announce open-source platform for Nigeria’s tech ecosystem
The UK-Nigeria Tech Hub and Briter Bridges have joined forces to launch Nigeria’s first open-source business intelligence platform dedicated to the country’s technology ecosystem and its funding activity.
By leveraging the UK-Nigeria Tech Hub’s role as a support player and Briter Bridges’ extensive data and network, this partnership aims at reducing the informational barriers to entry for companies, investors, and researchers interested in doing business in, or studying the country.
The new business intelligence platform will allow to:
ℹ️ Access a comprehensive database of startups, tech hubs, and investors operating in Nigeria;
💸 Access a live investment tracker showcasing all deals happening in the country;
☑️ Crowdsource new entities from the main page and claim admin permissions to keep editing their profiles;
📊 Gather digestible information on an interactive, real-time data visualisation dashboard;
“The convergence of public and private actors, as well as the growing pool of successful entrepreneurs who are giving back to the community by angel investing and mentoring younger company founders is a sign of increasing maturity for Nigeria’s technology ecosystem. Our work at Briter is founded upon the intention to project the opportunities lying low across the country. We are thrilled to be launching this initiative and I hope this will lead to a network effect for the ecosystem.” Dario Giuliani, Founder and Director of Briter.
